Last Supper

By far, one of my favorite meals on the trip. Everything, I mean, EVERYTHING, was outstanding.

We started with a seared duck breast salad with fennel and grapefruit in buttermilk dressing. LOVE. I still dream about this salad to this day.

We also had the famous chorizo-stuffed Medjool dates with bacon and piquillo pepper-tomato sauce. Seriously? You can't go wrong with bacon AND chorizo. My mouth was exploding with flavor.

Next was the wood-oven braised pork shoulder with Prince Edward mussels, tripe and tomato. Fall off the bone tenderness.

And to top it off, a beautiful bottle of Triennes.

It was such a wonderful experience—excellent food, great service, friendly people (the tables are communal), gorgeous modern design and best of all, unpretentious.

I miss it and I want to go back.

I'm so happy we ended this trip with an amazing meal.

Thank you Eileen for the recommendation!
