Japanese Hot Pot

I enjoyed delicious hot pot with Jason and his parents. It was nice to have a Japanese twist to a meal I often eat with my parents and family.

Instead of fish balls and sliced beef, we cooked crab, fish cake, shiitake and enoki mushrooms, bok choy and meat dumplings in the hot chicken broth.

Jason's mom also made a cold salad of octopus, seaweed and cucumber. It was vinagrette based and tasty.
