Mango Ice Cream

I had an extra cherimoya (exotic fruit from South America – more of this later), so I decided to make cherimoya ice cream. Complete fail. I should have used two cherimoyas because I couldn't taste it in the ice cream at all. I felt so defeated because I wasted such an expensive, delicious fruit.

Not wanting to waste the ice cream and determined to make use of it, I decided to make mango ice cream. I let the cherimoya ice cream melt and put it back into the ice cream machine with a ton of mango.

Result? Edible, but I think the ice cream itself was over churned, which caused it to have a very flaky texture. Luckily, the flavor of mango was fully there. At least I have that to be thankful for or I would of had ice cream fail number two.
