Fat Lady.

Jason, Wendy and I went to The Fat Lady for lunch on Saturday. We were originally planning to go to Everett & Jones (see previous visit), but walked by The Fat Lady and decided to check it out since it looked so cute.

And cute it was! There were outdoor seating and a tempting brunch menu. The interior was spectacular – old world, dark and Victorian with Tiffany lamps, glass stained signs and beveled doors .

I ordered the melted Mediterranean baguette that included sliced turkey breast, grilled zucchini, roasted red peppers, pesto and mozzarella on a baguette. The sandwich was pretty good, I liked the toasted baguette, but unfortunately, my meal was cold so the cheese was stiff. The fries were good, but again, unfortunately, cold. The entire meal would have been more enjoyable if it came out piping hot with melty cheese!

I'd go to The Fat Lady for a cup of mocha and chill outside, but not stay for the food. It was only mediocre, nothing that great, but the ambiance is cute and reminds me of many places in SF.
